Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS, also known as spastic colon, causes constipation, diarrhea or alternating bouts of constipation and diarrhea, in association with abdominal pain. This is a very common disorder that affects millions of people. While it more commonly occurs in adults, it can also affect children.

Our allergy testing and treatments are designed to get you feeling better as soon as possible, with same-day allergy testing to quickly understand what’s causing your discomfort. Once your allergy testing is completed, you’ll receive a personalized treatment plan for your allergies.

We are located in Orange Park and in the Bartram Park area of Jacksonville. You can have your allergy shots administered at either location.

Heartburn

Most people are familiar with the feeling - that burning sensation creeping up underneath your breastbone. It’s heartburn and, unfortunately, minor and occasional occurrences are a part of life for many Americans.

However, if heartburn is a regular occurrence for you, it’s time to get checked out.

Colon Cancer

In most cases, cancer cells don’t develop from normal colon cells. Rather, normal cells develop abnormal changes and become small growths called polyps in the colon.

When polyps are detected early and removed, colon cancer is prevented. Early detection is key to prevention.

Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in both men and women. It is also one of the most preventable – but only if it’s caught in time.

Barrett's Esophagus

Barrett’s esophagus is a condition in which the cells lining your lower esophagus become damaged, usually due to stomach acid exposure over a long period of time.

When you swallow, foods and liquids travel from your mouth through the esophagus to your stomach. At the end of the esophagus, there is a ring of muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter, which closes tightly to keep stomach contents from rising back up.

Gastrointestinal Symptoms

Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms are caused by problems within the digestive tract, including the esophagus, liver, gallbladder, stomach, duodenum, pancreas, colon, appendix, small intestine and rectum. When left untreated, even those symptoms that may feel like minor irritations can quickly lead to more serious risks.
