Shanique S. Wilson, MD |Gastroenterologist

Dr. Shanique Wilson is an accomplished gastroenterologist with extensive training and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. With a passion for providing patient-centered care, Dr. Wilson is committed to helping her patients achieve optimal digestive health and overall well-being.

Dr. Wilson completed her undergraduate studies at Florida State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors. She then went on to attend Florida State University College of Medicine where she graduated with her Doctor of Medicine degree. Following medical school, Dr. Wilson completed her residency in internal medicine at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was recognized for her outstanding clinical skills and dedication to patient care. She then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Health System (West Campus), where she gained expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, including disorders of gut-brain interaction, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr. Wilson is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), and the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society (ANMS). She is also a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) where she serves on a national committee. She has presented her research at numerous regional and national conferences. With a commitment to staying at the forefront of her field, Dr. Wilson regularly participates in continuing medical education programs and is always seeking new and innovative ways to improve patient care.

All in all, she believes that good communication and a compassionate approach are key to building strong relationships with her patients and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes. In her spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys ecotourism, often traveling to remote locations across the globe to experience many of natures’ wonders. Dr. Wilson is excited to be joining Borland Groover and looks forward to serving the community and providing exceptional gastroenterological care to her patients.
