Hardik Shah
MD, MPH

Dr. Hardik Shah joined Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York after finishing medical school in India to learn public health and biostatistics. After which he joined the internal medicine residency program in Newark, New Jersey where he was appointed as a chief medical resident due to his excellence in medical knowledge, patient care and compassion. Later he attended gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship in Paterson, New Jersey where he served as a chief fellow in the last year of his training.

Dr. Shah has published over 30 articles in various national and international journals. He has presented his research in numerous gastroenterology and hepatology society meetings. Dr. Shah is an ambitious and aspiring physician who pursued additional training at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA for advanced and therapeutic endoscopy where he also worked as a faculty for Gastroenterology fellows’ education.

Apart from general endoscopy procedures such as an EGD and colonoscopy; Dr. Shah also performs various cutting edge advanced endoscopic procedures such as an ERCP for patients with bile duct and pancreas disorders; diagnostic EUS for pancreas, esophagus, gastric and rectal cancer diagnosis and staging; therapeutic EUS for drainage of large peri-pancreas cyst, liver biopsy, EDGE procedure in gastric bypass patients; management of Barrett’s esophagus with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and cryotherapy; removal of large precancerous polyps from stomach, duodenum and colon using EMR technique or full thickness resection device (EFTR).

Dr Shah enjoys playing outdoor sports and going to the beach in his free time. He moved to Florida with his toddler and wife. He is excited to provide state of the art medical care to the Florida residents.
