Gastroenterologist

Dr. Poland graduated medical school in 2005 from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete training in Internal Medicine in 2008 and served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine in 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH and ultimately completing her fellowship training in Gastroenterology in 2013 at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.
Dr. Poland decided to become a gastroenterologist while on a medical mission trip to Mexico. It was during that time that she developed a desire to be in a specialty where she could cultivate long term relationships with her patients while being able to provide effective, efficient and individualized care whether that is through a visit to the office or performing a procedure. Dr. Poland’s clinical interests include colon cancer screening, women’s GI health, and disorders of the esophagus. Dr. Poland relocated to Jacksonville in 2018 with her family, four children and their dog Sophie. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and working on home improvement projects.
