Dr. Anhtung Chau was born in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to Minnesota in 1993. He attended the University of Minnesota and received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a doctorate in medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Chau completed a residency in internal medicine and worked as a hospitalist, gaining valuable experience, knowledge and patient skills. He returned to the University of Minnesota for further training in a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship, and specializes in inflammatory bowel disease and general hepatology. In his spare time, Dr. Chau enjoys spending quality family time at a park or on the beach with his wife, Dr. Jessica Bahari-Kashani, a radiation oncologist, and his 2 young children.
