Borland Groover Expands Digestive Health Care Access with New Fort Walton Beach Location

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., June 25, 2026 – Borland Groover continues to expand access to specialized digestive health care along the Emerald Coast with the opening of a new medical office at 1013 Mar Walt Drive, Suite B, in Fort Walton Beach. Beginning July 6, the office will provide outpatient gastroenterology care for patients in Fort Walton Beach and nearby communities.
Borland Groover providers care for more than 150,000 patients each year and perform more than 50,000 colonoscopies annually across Florida. The new Fort Walton Beach office builds on that experience while expanding access to outpatient gastroenterology care in Northwest Florida. William Craig Dungan, M.D. is now accepting new patients at the Fort Walton Beach office.
Dr. Dungan’s background in gastroenterology, hepatology and preventive care supports Borland Groover’s focus on prevention, early detection and comprehensive digestive health.
“Having completed my gastroenterology fellowship along the Gulf Coast, I look forward to caring for patients in Fort Walton Beach and the surrounding communities,” said Dr. Dungan. “My goal is to provide thoughtful, comprehensive digestive care while helping patients take proactive steps to manage their health, including through colorectal cancer screening and preventive care.”
Dr. Dungan earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Alabama and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
His clinical research and publications have addressed topics including cirrhosis, esophageal varices, gastric mucosal injury and jejunal diverticulitis. He has also participated in quality improvement work focused on preventive care, including colorectal cancer screening and cervical cancer screening in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Dungan is a recipient of the American College of Gastroenterology Presidential Poster Award.
The Fort Walton Beach office will complement Borland Groover’s existing presence in the region, including its Santa Rosa Beach location and the Emerald Coast Endoscopy Center currently under development. Together, these locations are part of Borland Groover’s ongoing effort to improve access to gastroenterology care across Northwest Florida.
