William Craig Dungan, M.D., is a gastroenterologist with Borland Groover. Raised in Mississippi, Dr. Dungan earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Alabama. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Dungan provides care for patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including colorectal cancer screening and prevention, acid reflux disease (GERD), swallowing disorders, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other digestive disorders. He is committed to evidence-based care and helping patients feel informed, comfortable and confident in their treatment decisions.
His academic work includes peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national gastroenterology meetings, including recognition with an American College of Gastroenterology Presidential Poster Award.
The Emerald Coast has long held special meaning for Dr. Dungan and his family. He and his wife were married in Seaside and now live in Santa Rosa Beach with their daughter and son. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time at the beach with his family, Ole Miss football, cycling and grilling.
