Nausea and Vomiting
Persistent nausea or vomiting can interfere with nutrition, hydration, and daily activities, particularly when symptoms become frequent or prolonged. Some patients experience symptoms primarily after meals, while others develop nausea associated with bloating, abdominal pain, reflux, or unintended weight loss.
Digestive causes may include ulcers, gallbladder disease, delayed stomach emptying, reflux disease, infections, medication side effects, or disorders affecting gastrointestinal motility. Depending on symptoms, evaluation may include endoscopy, imaging, gastric emptying studies, or laboratory testing to better understand the underlying cause and direct treatment.
