Pratik Patel, MD |

Dr. Pratik Patel is an advanced endoscopist at the Borland Groover Durbin Crossing Clinic and the Baptist Medical Center South Campus. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He completed Internal Medicine Residency at East Carolina University where he served as Chief Resident, Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at the University of South Florida, Gastroenterology Fellowship at Mather Hospital/Northwell Health where he served as Chief Fellow, and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida. 

His interests include advanced tissue/polyp resection with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic full thickness resection (EFTR) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and the management of complex biliary strictures with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He also has experience in the management of complex luminal strictures, endoscopic suturing for fistula and perforation closure, radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation. In addition to managing complex conditions, he is a proponent for the use of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) for pancreatic cancer screening. Dr. Patel also manages a wide array of general gastroenterology conditions ranging from inflammatory bowel disease to H. pylori. He has authored numerous publications and has given multiple poster/oral presentations at national meetings. 

In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, playing golf, and cheering for the Florida Gators. He was born and raised in Titusville, FL, and is excited to return to the east coast of Florida to serve the Jacksonville community. He is graciously accepting new patients at this time.
