Nikhil Kapila is a native Floridian. After completing his internal medicine residency and chief
medicine residency at the University of Connecticut, he completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Florida and went on to complete a transplant hepatology fellowship at Duke University.

Dr. Kapila is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology. He has published over 20 peer reviewed articles in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology. He has been an invited speaker at multiple international and regional conferences and is a member of several gastroenterology and
hepatology committees.

Nikhil is an avid South Florida sports fan and is waiting (patiently) for the day the Dolphins win a Super Bowl. He is a father to a young daughter and his wife is a native of North Florida.
