Dr. Christopher Arteaga is a gastroenterologist at Borland Groover. Originally from Merritt Island, Florida he attended the University of Florida where he studied mechanical engineering and biology before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended St. George’s University School of Medicine on scholarship where he graduated magna cum laude. Afterwards, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Arizona. He then returned to Florida for Fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Bayonet Point Medical Center in New Port Richey.
While in medical school he met his wife, they were married during residency and welcomed their two daughters into the world during fellowship. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends and their goldendoodle. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, boating, and traveling.
