If bowel accidents are affecting your life, there’s help. Borland Groover offers InterStim™ therapy, a safe, proven treatment that helps restore bowel control and freedom.
Fecal incontinence, or loss of bowel control, affects nearly one in 12 U.S. adults, yet many people suffer in silence.
The condition can cause sudden urges, leakage, and emotional distress, but it’s not a normal part of aging and not something you have to live with.
Tried pills and exercises? Still running to the bathroom? Find out if the InterStim™ system may be right for you.
InterStim™ is an implantable device that works much like a pacemaker for the bowel. It sends mild electrical pulses to the sacral nerves, which help regulate bowel function. This gentle stimulation restores communication between the brain and bowel, reducing accidents and urgency.
InterStim™ therapy has been FDA-approved since 2011 and is clinically proven to provide long-term relief for 89% of patients who receive treatment.
“InterStim™ therapy allows us to offer patients real hope. It helps them restore control, regain confidence and live without constant worry.”
See how InterStim™ therapy is evaluated and delivered in three straightforward steps.
A brief outpatient test of the device lets you experience the results before moving forward.
If the trial is successful, a small device is implanted just beneath the skin.
Most patients return to normal activities within days and experience lasting improvement.

Potential adverse events include pain at the implant site, new pain, infection, lead migration, device damage, technical or device problems, adverse change in bowel function, and undesirable stimulation or sensations.
