Borland Groover to Break Ground March 23 on Emerald Coast Endoscopy Center in Santa Rosa Beach
New outpatient clinic and ambulatory surgery center will expand access to gastroenterology care in Walton County
SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla., March 17, 2026 – Borland Groover, North Florida’s leading gastroenterology provider, will break ground March 23 on Emerald Coast Endoscopy Center, a new outpatient clinic and ambulatory surgery center in Santa Rosa Beach. The facility is expected to open and begin seeing patients in summer 2027.
Located at 200 Mack Bayou Road, the new 16,000-square-foot facility will expand Borland Groover’s presence in Walton County, building on the practice’s existing local presence. The project reflects Borland Groover’s continued investment in the area, where the practice already has a nearby location and is expanding with a larger office and its own ambulatory surgery center. The expansion responds to growing demand for gastroenterology services from both patients and providers in the region.
Borland Groover’s Emerald Coast Endoscopy Center will include dedicated clinical and surgical space designed to support outpatient gastroenterology services. The outpatient clinic will include six provider offices, one infusion room and 11 exam rooms.
The ambulatory surgery center, owned and operated by Borland Groover gastrointestinal specialists and United Surgical Partners International, will feature three procedure rooms equipped with state-of-the-art endoscopy technology, providing patients access to minimally invasive procedures, including colonoscopies. The center will be the sixth surgery center jointly operated by the two organizations.
“This project reflects our continued commitment to expanding access to specialized gastroenterology care,” said Jackie Kennedy, COO of Ancillary Services at Borland Groover. “The new center enhances regional capacity for outpatient procedures and clinical services in Walton County and the surrounding area.”
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place March 23, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting scheduled for 5 p.m. Borland Groover will host the event in partnership with project architect Bhide & Hall and contractor Lord & Son. Bhide & Hall previously collaborated with Borland Groover on Orange Park Endoscopy Center and Durbin Crossing Endoscopy Center. Leadership, providers, staff and project partners will be in attendance.
Leadership attendees include Dinesh Madhok, M.D., CEO of Borland Groover; Jackie Kennedy, COO of Ancillary Services; Cloyd Thomas, COO of Clinics; and Vince Vitali, CIO, along with ASC Director Ginny Foreman, Mikelah Lugg, Ancillary Operations Manager, and Director of Facilities Melanie Wood.
Providers expected to practice at the new location include Dr. Snehal Desai, M.D., Dr. Kane Edwards, M.D., Dr. Jacob Feagans, M.D. and Jordan Miles, P.A.-C.
