PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Borland Groover’s Emerald Coast Endoscopy Center is coming to Santa Rosa Beach.

“Right now, a lot of the care is kind of fragmented,” said Dr. Jacob Feagans, a gastroenterologist with Borland Groover, “people are getting care at the hospital, the ER, surgery centers, and other locations.”

A new 16,000-square-foot facility will expand Borland Groover’s presence in Walton County, providing an affordable one-stop shop for patients in need of gastroenterology services.

“This will work with insurance companies, and patients with their budgets, where things are much more affordable, and we can do it for them here,” said Dr.Feagans, instead of in an emergency setting, which is often very expensive, and not set up on a good time schedule for the patients.”

Inside, patients will find dedicated clinical and surgical space for outpatient services, six provider offices, an infusion room, and 11 exam rooms.

“If they come here, and come see us here in the office, and for procedures, we can get things done that they need so they don’t have to go to the ER,” said Dr.Feagans, “it will save them money, time, and it’s much safer to do it in this environment, so we’re really looking forward to doing it for the community.”

A community that Dr.Feagans says has needed a facility like this.

“The nearest place like this is almost to Fort Walton to the west, and to the east, all the way in Panama City Beach,” Feagans said.

Borland Groover says the Emerald Coast Endoscopy Center is on track to open and start seeing patients in summer 2027.
